Thurston New York

The New York State Public Health law requires every municipality to appoint a local registrar and a deputy registrar.  The registrar is responsible for the filing of birth, marriage, and death certificates as they occur in the municipality.  

The Town of Thurston has appointed the following to fill these positions:

Sue Conklin, Registrar of Vital Statistics

Sandra Nowicki, Deputy Registrar of Vital Statistics

Local geneology information such as birth, death, or marriage certificates can be obtained from the registrar during regular town business hours or upon special appointment by calling (607) 527-8269.  Mailed information requests should be sent to:
